Denis Lebedev Drops Management, is Kostya Tszyu Next?

by Gregory Stangrit

Former WBA cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev, 33-year-old, has parted ways with longtime manager Vladimir Hryunov, according to the boxer. The boxer said he is leaving Hryunov for "personal reason" but he never revealed the details of the personal reasons. As far as working with his current his coaching staff, with head trainer Kostya Tszyu, Lebedev says that decision will be made in the near future.

Lebedev last fought on May 17 in Moscow, when he was stopped in eleven rounds by Guillermo Jones. He suffered horrible facial swelling and a closed right eye. After spending several days in the hospital recovering, Lebedev told reporters that he planned to change most of his team.
