Denis Grachev Knocks Ismayl Sillakh Out, Huge Upset!

Frank Erwin Center, Austin, Texas - A battle of undefeated light heavyweight contenders saw Denis Grachev (12-0-1, 8KOs) shock highly rated knockout artist Ismayl Sillakh (17-1, 14KOs) with an eight round stoppage.

After dominating most of the action in the previous rounds, a huge right hand rocked Sillakh bad in the eight, and then Grachev battered him in the corner and started unloading with combinations until Sillakh was going down and the referee Vic Drakulich jumped in to wave it off.

Sillakh was an 11-1 favorite and one of the brightest up and coming contenders in the entire sport.

In the co-feature, a battle of undefeated super featherweight prospects took place, with Javier Fortuna (19-0, 14KOs) demolishing Yuandale Evans (16-1, 12KOs) in the first round. They started fast and traded hard punches. During one of their exchanges, Fortuna leveled Evans with a counter bomb on the button and sent him down hard. Evans barely beat the count and had no idea how to hold on, and instead made a decision to trade some more. Fortuna caught him again with a hard combination to send him down for the second time and the fight was stopped at 2:02.
