Former junior middleweight title challenger Deandre "The Bull" Latimore reached out to Boxingscene to issue a challenge to Pawel "The Raging Bull" Wolak. Wolak is fresh off of a12 round draw versus Delvin Rodriguez in a fight which is a candidate for fight of the year. The fight aired on ESPN2 last Friday. There has been talk of a rematch between Wolak and Rodriguez on the Miguel Cotto-Antonio Margarito 2 card in December. Latimore thinks that a fight between himself and Wolak would be a similarily great fight with their styles suiting each other perfectly.
"I want to issue a challenge to Pawel Wolak. I would love to fight him. I think our styles mesh perfectly. It would be The Bull versus The Raging Bull and the fans would definitely get their money's worth."
Latimore thinks that a fight against Wolak would be a crowd pleasing fight. The St. Louis native has won 11 of his past 13 fights and wants to face one of the top fighters in the junior middleweight division. After missing out on facing Paul Williams, Latimore has his sights set on the popular Polish fighter who has a big following in New Jersey. "Everyone is saying he (Wolak) is one of the top guys in the division. I am looking to fight guys that aren't scare to fight and I am confident that I would knock him out. He is a warrior so I am sure he would step up to the challenge."
