David Price-Erkan Teper Will Head To a Purse Bid

By Per Ake Persson

There will no agreement between Z! Promotions and Sauerland Event with respect to the fight for the vacant EBU heavyweight title between Erkan Teper (14-0) and David Price (19-2), and the parties involved have asked for an earlier deadline for purse bids.

Purse bids will now be opened at noon - Rome time - May 19 instead of May 25.

Price has won four fights in a row since getting knocked out in back to back fights with dangerous veteran and top contender Tony Thompson.

Teper saw action once in 2014, stopping previously undefeated Newfel Ouatah in six rounds. He came back in March of this year and won a twelve round unanimous decision over 31-1 Johann Duhaupas.
