David Price-Erkan Teper Eyed For July 17th Date

By Per Ake Persson

Z! Promotions are planning to stage the fight for the vacant EBU heavyweight title between Erkan Teper (14-0) and David Price (19-2) on July 17 in Stuttgart (Germany). Z! Promotions recently outbid Sauerland Event at the EBU's mandatory purse bid.

Price has however been long booked to fight on June 26 at home in Liverpool but no opponent has been announced. The EBU have a 28 day rule which should mean that Price and Sauerland Promotion will have to choose between dates and which fight to take.

Should Teper vs Price go ahead as Z! wants we will have  a hot July week in Germany with Ruslan Chagaev vs Francensco Pianeta takes place on July 11 in Magdeburg and the fourth between Arthur Abraham and Robert Stieglitz on July 18 in Halle / Westfalen.
