Centro de Expositores, Puebla, Mexico - Dante Jardon (19-2, 17KOs) and Sammy Gutierrez (30-7-2, 21KOs) have vowed to avenge their knockout defeats from Saturday night. Jardon lost his WBC Youth World super featherweight title to Kyohei Tamakoshi (28-7-6, 11KOs). The Japanese boxer stopped him in three rounds, the first loss for the Jardon since his second pro fight in 2006. It was Tamakoshi's first fight outside of Japan. A strange fight for a "Youth title" with Jardon being 23-years-old and the 30-year-old Japanese pug.

Gutierrez saw his two fight win streak get snapped, and he lost his WBC silver light flyweight title to lightly regarded Armando Torres (17-9, 12KOs), who was coming off a loss to Juan Palacios.

The promoters are hoping to stage a rematch doubleheader in the first quarter of 2012.
