By Francisco Salazar

Junior welterweight contenders Danny O'Connor and Steve Claggett will square off tonight.

The 10 round bout will take place at the House of Blues in Boston, Massachusetts and will air live on pay-per-view ($24.95) and on Super Channel in Canada (10 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. PT).

O'Connor (29-3, 11 knockouts), who resides in nearby Framingham, stopped previously-unbeaten Daniel Gonzalez in the third round of his last bout on Nov. 25.

The 32-year-old southpaw has won his last three bouts since his highlight-reel knockout loss to Gabriel Bracero in October of 2015.

Claggett (26-4-1, 17 KOs) won a 10 round split decision over Yves Ulysse Jr. on Oct. 27. The Calgary, Albert, Canada resident, who mostly fought as a welterweight over the last five years, has won his last three fights.

His most recent defeats were by decision to Konstantin Ponomarev and Chris van Heerden.

In the co-feature, TJ Doheny will face Mike Oliver in an eight round bout.

Doheny (18-0, 13 KOs), who is originally from Ireland and now resides in Bondi Junction, Australia, won a 12 round split decision over Pipat Chaiporn in his last bout on Dec. 20.

Tonight's fight is intender to be a stay-busy fight for Doheny, who is the mandatory challenger for IBF junior featherweight titleholder Ryosuke Iwasa.

Oliver (26-7-1, 8 KOs), has lost five of his last seven bouts, has not fought since October of 2015, when he was stopped in the opening round by Anthony Peterson.

Opening the telecast will be a six round junior lightweight bout between William Foster III (6-0, 5 KOs), from nearby New Haven, Connecticut, and former junior bantamweight contender Nick Otieno (31-13, 13 KOs) of Kenya.

Prior to the telecast, Facebook Fight Night will air four bouts live and free, beginning at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT.
