Maxim Dadashev was scheduled to face former world champion Antonio DeMarco, as the co-main event next Friday night in Fresno, California on ESPN. But it looks like that fight will be delayed several weeks.
Promoter Bob Arum explained to BoxingScene.com - "because Dadashev hurt his bicep but the doctor said it's not ripped ad he has to take off for a week."
Chances are this fight will be rescheduled for October 20th where Top Rank has a card in Las Vegas featuring the middleweight bout between Ryoto Murata and Rob Brant.
Now with Dadashev-DeMarco being scratched for next week, Arum says that the super featherweight bout between 'the Fighting Marine' Jamel Herring and John Vincent Moralde has been bumped up to the ESPN broadcast.
The featured bout that night has WBC junior welterweight belt-holder, Jose Ramirez, taking on Antonio Orozco.
DeMarco (33-6-1, 24 KOs) has been out of the ring since scoring a stunning first round knockout of then undefeated Eddie Ramirez in October of 2017. While Dadashev (11-0, 10 KOs) has already seen action twice in 2018. Back in June, he picked up his most notable win to date with a tenth round stoppage of former world champion Darlys Perez.
