Cristian Mijares Faces Nebran on June 19 in Campeche

By Miguel Rivera

Promoter Pepe Gomez of Cancun Boxing has confirmed that former champion Cristian "Diamante" Mijares (51-8-2, 25KOs) will make his return in a stay busy fight against Philippine contender Vergel "Superman" Nebran (13-8-1, 8KOs), scheduled to take place as a ten round featherweight fight on June 19th in Campeche, Mexico. This will be Mijares' third fight since losing a twelve round unanimous decision to Leo Santa Cruz last March.

Headlining the show is Irma Garcia, the world bantamweight champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), who defends her world titles against Argentina's Marisa "Nena" Portillo.

Golden Boy Promotions and William Rocha will co-promote the card with Gomez. The card will be produced by De La Hoya TV and distributed on Fox Sports.

"The card will be produced by De La Hoya TV and distributed on Fox Sports." So, it reads like this will be distributed on regional Fox Sports channels, but not nationally on Fox Sports 1.
