Cotto-Geale: Vazquez, Machado, Lopez on The Card

By Miguel Rivera

The undercard is coming together for the June 6th card at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The card is headlined by Miguel Cotto making the first defense of his WBC middleweight title against former champion Daniel Geale.

Among the fighters added to the card, former champion Wilfredo 'Papito' Vazquez Jr., and young prospects Alberto 'Explosive' Machado and José 'Wonder Boy' Lopez.

All three fighters are promoted by Cotto's company, Miguel Cotto Promotions.

Cotto has advised El Vocero that none of their opponents have been confirmed.

Vazquez Jr., who has a record of 24-4-1, 19 KO's, is coming off a narrow victory by majority decision against Jonathan Arellano last November in Caguas. Machado, meanwhile, a fighter in the super featherweight division has a perfect record of 10-0 and 8KO's, is coming off a solid win by knockout in the first round last March over Jean Javier Sotelo.

Meanwhile, Lopez is coming off a majority decision win in February. Lopez has a record of 15-0-1 and 11 KOs.

The show will be in conjunction with Cotto and his new promoter, Roc Nation Sports.
