Former welterweight champion Kermit Cintron (33-4-1, 28 KOs) feels motivation from the well-known boxing rivalry between Puerto Rico and Mexico. Cintron challenges undefeated WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez on Saturday night in Mexico City. Cintron is the most experienced opponent that Alvarez has every faced to date. Cintron has watched Mexican boxers winning most of the recent battles against Puerto Rican fighters, but he plans to change that.

"This fight is a huge motivation for me because of the rivalry in boxing between Puerto Rico and Mexico. I'm excited for the opportunity to win the title in his home, "said Cintron. "Mexico has recently been dominating the rivalry, but I will do everything to stop that this Saturday. I've been training hard over here (in Mexico) and I'm in great condition. I want to prove that I am still one of the best fighters in the world. "
