This Saturday night an enticing trio of bouts in the super flyweight class takes place from the Stub Hub Center in Carson, California that is headlined by the rematch between WBC champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai and Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez, who battled over twelve grueling rounds back on March 18th with the Thai boxer getting his hands raised in victory.
If you want to see this event live, you may want to purchase tickets now.
"Ticket sales are very strong, we expect a complete sell-out," said Tom Loeffler, the managing director of K2 Promotions, who is the lead promoter for this card, that also features Juan Francisco Estrada-Carlos Cuadras and Naoyo Inoue-Antonio Nieves, which will be included on the HBO broadcast. According to him about a thousand tickets are available as of Labor Day night.
"We sold out of the $30 tickets, that was the price that we had established and there were a lot of $30 tickets,"explained Loeffler, who didn't want this event to be cost prohibitive to the public."So the fans were able to purchase these on pre-sale and on the on-sale but they didn't last very long. They lasted about a week."
The venue - which has become a regular destination for boxing in recent years - is configured for approximately 7,500.
"My understanding now is that all the floor seats have also been sold-out. So really the only price ranges left are the great $150 seats which are just off the floor. Then the $100 seats in the middle and the $60 seats,"said Loeffler, who points out,"the StubHub is such a great venue that there's really no bad seats."
