Chemito Moreno, Wife/Manager Decide To Part Ways

By Elisinio Castillo

Former world bantamweight champion Panamanian Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno (35-3-1, 12KOs) is making big changes in his boxing career and his personal life. Moreno announced on the social networks that he's going through a divorce with his wife Rouss Laguna, who also served as his boxing manager and advisor. They were married in 2010.

Moreno has been out of the ring since the six round technical decision loss to Juan Carlos Payano last September.

The boxer is also facing an issue where his trainer Celso Chavez claims that he was never paid for the fight with Payano. He claims to be owed 10% ($9,000) for the $90,000 that Chemito was paid.

"I have not heard from Chemito Moreno since his last fight that he had with Payano, and I have not received payment from that fight," said Chavez. "Chemito is like a son to me, but I do not know what happened. I have not received any news from Chemito or his wife."

Chemtio's soon to be ex-wife denied the trainer's claim, stating that her fighter's money arrived late and the money was sent over to Chavez's bank account.

Classy fighter but 'stiffing' his trainer is classless.

would be pretty funny if he just fired her, but they stayed married. "sorry, you suck as a manager, but I love you"
