Promoter Gary Shaw has just informed BoxingScene.com that Nate Campbell has failed to make weight, for the second time, for tomorrow's mandatory bout with Ali Funeka. Campbell hit the scales two hours ago and weighed 138-pounds, three pounds over the lightweight limit of 135-pounds. He was given two hours to make good and came in at 137 1/2 on the second try. The fight is still going forward. Because Campbell failed to make weight, the IBF/WBO lightweight titles are only at stake for Funeka. If Campbell wins the fight, both titles will be declared vacant.
In other weights already reported by Mark Vester
WBC interim-junior welterweight champion Sergio Martinez was 153.25, and opponent Kermit Cintron was a bit over at 154.25. Cintron made the weight shortly after.
Undefeated junior middleweight prospect Alfredo Angulo was 153.5 and Cosme Rivera weighed-in at 151.5.
