Bundu Motivated To Exploit, Outwork Errol Spence For IBF Shot

Leonard Bundu believes his upcoming fight with rising star Errol Spence has all the makings of a “spectacular fight.”

Speaking on a pre-fight media call, the experienced welterweight revealed: “It’s going to be a spectacular fight. I know Errol has come to fight and I’m coming to fight. I’m coming for the big threat. I’m coming here convinced from my experience.”

The 41 year old has just one blip on his resume, a unanimous decision points defeat to Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman back in December 2014, one he believes the experience will stand him in good stead.

“The last time I went to a big fight in Las Vegas. I got caught up in the show business and the hype, now I’m more concentrated. Training camp is going well. Everything is going well so on August 21st just expect a nice, good fight, the best from both of us.”

Bundu has bags of experienced, having banked 236 rounds in his 36 fight, 11 year career.

“I’m not only coming there to go the 12 full rounds, I’m coming for the victory.”

It’s a big test for Bundu, who is under no illusion Errol Spence Jr is one of boxing’s brightest starlets: “He looks good but I know he has a few weaknesses. We’re working on them and come fight night, will try to discover them and show the world what is wrong or good with him.”

With just 12 stoppage wins from his 33 victories, Bundu concedes: “I’m not a big puncher but I’m a big volume puncher so, we have to see how he reacts, whether he may be good or not. But anyway, we’re not just relying on that, of course.”

I feel bad for Bundu. The guy is going to be running into a buzz saw. Spence by KO.
This is a god test for Spence. Bundu is a crafty veteran contender. Thurman tried hard to look good against him but couldn't. If Spence kOs Bundu [even if he is 18 months older now] it will still look good.
…

Spence will destroy Bundu easily. He's the best welterweight fighter.

They should just sanction this bout for the 147lb IBF world title; Because let's face some facts. Kell Brook is done with the welterweight division. His days of competing at a 147lb are over. He has simply outgrown the division…
The amount of technical decisions and draws for head clashes/cuts on Bundu's record is unnerving, I'll say that much.
F#ck han't noticed that, but yea. 7 Tech. Decisions in 36 fights. Wow.
