BoxingScene.com has been advised by IBF junior middleweight champion Cornelius "K9" Bundrage (32-4, 19KOs) that he reached a promotional agreement with Golden Boy Promotions. For the last few week, Bundrage was trying to reach an agreement for a title defense against Andre Berto, but the fight fell through and Berto agreed to face Robert Guerrero on November 24th.
Bundrage is not worried about losing out on a fight with Berto, the veteran indicated to BoxingScene that Golden Boy has already offered him fights with James Kirkland (31-1, 27KOs) and Alfredo Angulo (20-2, 17KOs).
Bundrage said - "Christmas came early this year! No Berto, no worries! I've been offered fights with Kirkland and Angulo. Somebody in trouble (bark bark)!"
Bundrage previously had been promoted by Don King but the contract ran out and K9 became a free agent. In his last fight which took place in June in California, K9 successfully defended his title by stopping former champion Cory Spinks in the seventh round of their rematch. Golden Boy had won the purse bid and promoted the fight.
Information on his next fight and other details will soon follow.
