The war of words has once again erupted between former world champions Amir Khan (33-4, 20 KOs) and Kell Brook (37-2, 26 KOs).

The two boxers began to trade insults after it was officially announced that Brook would take a stay-busy fight on December 8th in Sheffield.

Back in March, Brook made his junior middleweight debut when he blew away Sergey Rabchenko in two rounds at Sheffield Arena. The victory was his first in nearly two years, after suffering back to back knockout defeats. He was stopped by Errol Spence in eleven rounds in May of 2017, and before that he was put away in five rounds by then unified middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin.

Brook was scheduled to come back a few months ago, but suffered an ankle injury in training camp and was forced to withdraw.

"I am back at the Sheffield Arena and back on Sky Sports," Brook exclusively told Sky Sports.

"I was ringside for Amir Khan's last fight, so let's see if he'll be there on December 8, or will he be too shook for Brook? Wherever he is, he'd better be watching. 'The Special One' is back!"

Brook was ringside last month, watching Khan have his share of struggles in winning a twelve round decision over Samuel Vargas. Khan was dropped in the fight and hurt on more than one occasion.

Khan wants the fight to take place at welterweight, which Brook has no problem with. But the two sides have been differing on the idea of a rehydration clause.

Khan erupted after learning of Brook's return.

"Really! You mention me in all your interviews saying ‘I want to fight Khan next. All the crying you do, then you go and fight another bum. What’s the delay Kelly? You're a joke. PS - You better not lose in December! I won’t be ringside!," Khan stated on social media.

Ad that of course, made Brook shoot right back.

"Who put 20p inside you last night ? The ‘delay’ has always been the same Amy - waiting for you to put your webcam down and find your bollocks!! And of course you won’t be ringside! This is what happens whenever you’re within a 5 mile radius of me: Too Shook For Brook," Brook stated.
