Bradley Skeete Vows To Chase Down Jeff Horn Title Fight

British Welterweight ruler Bradley Skeete still has his eyes on Jeff Horn after the Aussie became World Champion in July.

'The Hornet' outfought boxing legend Manny Pacquiao in a bloody battle before 51,000 fans in Brisbane on July 1st to pull off a huge upset.

One week after Horn ripped away Pacquiao's WBO world title, Skeete won the Lord Lonsdale belt outright after dominating Dale Evans in London.

Pacquiao and Horn are now heading in the direction of a contracted rematch on a date in November, and also in Australia.

Skeete feels ready to step on the world stage for the big fights.

"No disrespect, I'd say I'm miles above everyone domestically," he told BBTV. "I'm the best domestic welterweight there. I've got the belt outright, I can move on to bigger and better things now.

"I'm ranked number three with the WBO, so I'll be chasing Jeff Horn trying to get that world title fight."

"In the July rankings, 'Super' Skeete currently sits behind Lucas Matthysse in second spot and Pacquiao, who is still the number one ranked challenger.

Skeete admitted that he would have preferred to take on 'PacMan', because he is more well known on a worldwide scale, but is more than happy to take on Horn instead.

"Pacquiao's a legend in the sport, and to get a win over a legend like Pacquiao would've been amazing for myself and my career," he argued.

"But [now] I'll beat the man who beat the man! I want to move on to world level now and test myself."
He would but does not mean Skeete is great, why does he not call out Errol Spence or Keith Thurman.
Because Skeete is smart. He's going after the #1 Welterweight in the World. That's what you're supposed to do.

Surely a Skeete/Eggington rematch is in order!

Good luck to Skeete in that chase. I think TR gots that belt on lock and by the time Skeete gets lined up for a shot Crawford will hold the belt and Skeete might not appreciate the opportunity as much…
