Bradley Skeete: I'm Ready To Prove I'm World Class at 147!

Welterweight talent Bradley Skeete (27-1, 12 KOs) believes he is ready to step up in class after clearing up domestically.

The outright British champion returns to action on February 10th in London, with an opponent set to be named soon.

"I’m ready to prove I’m a world class fighter," the Penge boxer told his followers on social media. "I’ve got the world rankings but now need the fights to back them up. Jeff Horn swerved the fight with me. I’m avoided for a reason! My style would give anyone trouble. I’m ready and waiting to prove what I can do against the best!"

Currently, the 30-year-old is ranked at number three with the WBO and six with the IBF.

Skeete was close to landing a world title fight against WBO titlist Horn, but the Australian's team opted to face Gary Corcoran instead. Horn stopped the challenger in the 11th round on December 13th.

Keith Thurman holds the WBA 'Super' and WBC belts - and is slated to fight in April, while Errol Spence Jr is the IBF champion and returns on January 20 against Lamont Peterson.

Unified super lightweight king Terence Crawford is moving up to 147lbs, adding to the deep pool of talent. The WBO has ordered Horn to make a mandatory defense against Crawford and the fight is targeted for April 21 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Skeete recently called out for an all-British showdown with Amir Khan, who says he's returning to the Welterweight division this year.

He absolutely schooled his last few opponents but they weren’t very good. He’s not known for power but I reckon he’ll knock Khan out 6’1” is too tall for a welterweight but he’s a great boxer.

His high WBO ranking tells me that he might be Manny Pacquiao's next opponent.

This guy's actually not a bad boxer but needs to start plying his trade outside of the UK if he's to get recognized on a global scale.

Nobody will bother to fight him

He's actually the perfect opponent for Khan's return. He punches like a water pistol.
