Pick It: Jamal James vs. Thomas Dulorme (Saturday, Fox, 9 PM EST)

BoxingScene’s Keith Idec laid out just how ridiculous the WBA machinations are on this card as well as could be. The fights should still be entertaining. The main event comes in the deep welterweight division.

James (26-1, 12 KO) shares a loss with Dulorme (25-3-1, 16 KO) at the hands of Yordenis Ugas but both men enter off wins with James having seen his hands raised in six straight. The winner will be a step closer to...something. What that something is remains to be seen. In support, Cuban super middleweight David Morrell (2-0, 2 KO) takes a big step up at super middleweight against Lennox Allen (22-0-1, 14 KO). A serious contender could emerge.

Additional Show to Watch For

Friday – Harper vs. Jonas (DAZN, 2:30 PM EST)

It’s world title action in the Jr. Lightweight division. Terri Harper (10-0, 5 KO) won the WBC honors with a dominant ten round decision over once-beaten Eva Wahlstrom and makes her first defense here against once-beaten Natasha Jones (9-1, 7 KO). Jones’ loss came by stoppage but she’s won three straight, including two straight inside the route. A pair of cruiserweights bolster the afternoon affair with Chris Billian-Smith (10-1, 9 KO) trying to make it two straight after his first loss. He’ll face undefeated Nathan Thorley (14-0, 6 KO).
