BoxingScene Pound-For-Pound: Jan. 2019 Update

by Cliff Rold

The results for the last quarter of 2018 are in.

They didn’t change anything.

No one in the last BoxingScene Pound for Pound list lost. No one had such a blowaway performance against an elite opponent to demand entry nor did anyone have the sort of win that demanded they rise above someone ahead of them.

Everyone assumed to be really good performed about as one would expect. Why change for change’s sake?

That said, an update is still in order to account for new results. Consider it a baseline for 2019 with plenty of movement sure to come.

This is probably the stupidest pound for pound list ive seen in a lobg time. Terrence crawford #1?? Lmao, what p4p fighter has crawfor beaten? Just give me 3 top elite fighters hes fought...his biggest names are a way smaller…

I can stomach the argument for why Crawford and Loma are ahead of Usyk, but Mikey Garcia? Did he already beat Spence and we didn't know about it? Dude has no business in top3 P4P.
