Liverpool’s Tony Bellew will fight Roberto Bolonti on the undercard of the Eddie Hearn-promoted contest between Carl Froch and Yusaf Mack at Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena on November 17.  Bellew, 18-1 (12), will be making the first defence of the WBC silver light-heavyweight title he picked up by beating Edison Miranda on September 8.  His 30-1 (19) Argentine foe has won and defended the WBC Latino light-heavyweight belt and has stopped his last five opponents.

Indeed, Bolonti has not suffered a defeat since dropping a four-round decision to Franco Raul Sanchez in 2006 and will be full of confidence come fight night.  The 33-year-old will hope to rip away Bellew’s belt, and his world title hopes, but the 29-year-old Liverpudlian has mixed boxing and banging in recent fights and is in the form of his life.

Bellew, who split with Frank Warren earlier this year, has repeatedly asked for a busy schedule and this latest outing comes just two-months after his ninth-round TKO win over former middleweight world title challenger Miranda, in which Bellew produced a solid boxer-puncher display to force his opponent to quit at 1:54 of the ninth.
