Beibut Shumenov scored a 12-round shutout win over Enrique Ornelas in their light heavyweight title fight Saturday evening at The Joint in Las Vegas.

Scores were 120-108 across the board in a bout that never shifted gears or momentum. Despite the lack of suspense, Shumenov (13-1, 8KO) offered a spirited effort in what was his first fight in nearly 11 months.

Joseph Elegele was fortunate to get past Lanard Lane in their eight-round televised opener. Elegele was awarded a majority decision, with an even score of 76-76 overruled by tallies of 76-75 and 77-74. The win was the first in nearly a year for Elegele, who advances to 13-1 (10KO). Lane has now dropped two of his last three as he falls to 13-2 (8KO).

Super welterweight newcomer Daquan Arnett remained perfect after breezing past Yosmani Abreu (2-3-1, 0KO) in their four-round swing bout. Arnett (4-0, 2KO) scored a unanimous decision, winning by scores of 40-35 (twice) and 39-35.
