Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, who co-promotes heavyweight contender Kubrat Pulev, is firmly confident that his boxer can put WBO, IBF, WBA, IBO champion Anthony Joshua to sleep.

Pulev is the IBF's mandatory challenger to Joshua.

They were scheduled to fight last month, but the contest was pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic. The new date should come down in the final quarter of the year.

Everyone has been talking about a 2021 two-fight series between Joshua and WBC champion Tyson Fury.

Both Joshua and Fury have other contracted engagements to deal with.

Joshua has to beat Pulev, while Fury is heading to a trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder on a tentative date of December 19.

"Joshua has a fight before the end of the year with my guy – Kubrat Pulev – a very tough Bulgarian. And Tyson has a third fight to do with Wilder and that is not an easy fight," Arum told Talk Sport.

“So again, sure, if they come through those fights why wouldn’t we get together and do a two-fight deal for Fury and Joshua?”

Arum believes Joshua has a bad chin and can't take a good shot.

Joshua has been dropped and rocked in past fights.

But in June of 2019, huge underdog Andy Ruiz dropped Joshua four times and stopped him in the seventh round. Joshua got revenge when he outboxed Ruiz over twelve rounds in December.

Based on Joshua's history, Arum backs Pulev to win by knockout.

"Joshua has a chinny chin chin. And if he got knocked out by Andy Ruiz, who can’t punch… Look at Andy’s record; he fought all of his fights with us," Arum said.
