What may well turn out to be the biggest and best show in the 10 year history of the Pepsi Coliseum series, is scheduled for November 23rd at the best boxing venue in the world, the Pepsi Coliseum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
The double main event features three of Indiana's biggest gate attractions.
Five time Indiana Golden Glove Champion, Backlin Medrano of Lafayette, Indiana goes up against fellow Mexican, Francisco "Panchito" Zedpeda, formerly of Cocula, Mexico, now living and fighting out of Shelbyville, Indiana.
Both fighters have very large fan followings, and are agressive, non stop punchers. They rarely take a backward step when inside a boxing ring. The match will be for 12 rounds for the NABC* Latino Super Featherweight Title (130 lbs).
The co main event will feature two of the best and best looking female boxers in the country, also for the NABC Ladies Super featherweight Championship. The women's championship distance is 8 rounds.
Kristy 'Rose' Follmar, the current NABC lightweight champion (135 lbs) is a graduate of Ball State University and currently works for an Indianapolis TV station. Large numbers of her fans travel from her Northwest Indiana home of Cedar Lake as well as her college town of Muncie, Indiana to see her fight.
Her opponent, a former Miss Hawaiian Tropic Franchesca Alcanter, from Kansas City, KS., is no stranger to Hoosier boxing rings. She turned professional some five years ago in Terre Haute. Franchesca follows in the footsteps of her Mexican born grandfather who was one of the top professional fighters of his day, having fought the likes of super champion Henry Armstrong.

Tickets priced at $20 parquet seating and $15 general admission grandstand will go on sale next week at the Fairgrounds box office as well as all Central Indiana Ticketmaster outlets.
