Former IBF middleweight champion Carlos Molina (22-6-2, 6KOs) is motivated to turn his career around in 2015. Molina's calls 2014 - the worst year of his entire pro career. Molina was scheduled to make his first defense in march against Jermal Charlo on the undercard to the Saul Alvarez-Alfredo Angulo Showtime Pay-Per-View. He was arrested several days before the fight and deported to Mexico.
Then in October he lost his title in Cancun to mandatory challenger Cornelius "K9" Bundrage, who won a dominating twelve round decision.
"This was the worst year and the worst fight of my career, but I'm not going to drop out. I've never had an easy road, I'm used to getting up. In October I will not make excuses, he won, there are things I need to fix and now it's all I have to think about," Molina told ESPN Deportes. "I can not take a step back, we'll be ready when we get a new opportunity. I want to be world champion again to reverse all of this."
