The massacre of clearly overmatched Filipino boxers continued in Thailand over the weekend when three were knocked out and two others were badly beaten.

A report from Bangkok disclosed that undefeated Devid Lookmahanak (David Nakornluang) scored a sixth round TKO over Rolly Mandahinog to retain his WBC Asian Boxing Council super flyweight title, former WBC bantamweight champion Veerapol Sahaprom (Veerapol Nakornluang) scored a fifth round knockout over Noel Sungahid and WBC No. 2 super bantamweight Napapol Kiattisakchokchai destroyed Dondon Lapuz in two rounds. The fights were held at The Mall in Nonthaburi Province.

Meantime at the Porkungpao Restaurant in Bangkok, Bernardo Oclos lost a lopsided decision against undefeated WBC No. 11 flyweight Panomroonglek
Kratingdaenggym while Richard Garcia lost a six round shutout to WBC No. 4 straw weight Oleydong Sithsamerchai who had a record of 16-0 with 6 KO’s.

Mandahinog lost by a twelfth round TKO in a WBO Asia Pacific super flyweight title fight to Pramuansak Phosuwan last February 28 while Lookmahanak was coming off a fourth round TKO win over former world champion Saman Sorjaturong last February 22 and a lopsided eight round decision over Filipino Jun Ray Verano last April 16.

Sahaprom who boasts of a record of 48-2-2 with 34 knockouts scored a third round KO over Allan Fuentes on February 22 before losing a decision to Hozumi Hasegawa in a WBC bantamweight title fight on April 16. Napapol has a record of 31-2 with 27 knockouts winning his last seven fight by KO or TKO while Lapuz has lost  twice as many fights as he has won and suffered a fourth round TKO in a WBO Asia Pacific featherweight title fight to Terdsak Jangdaeng last March 9.

An intriguing report on Fight News said Thong Por Chockchai scored a second round KO “over a Filipino whose name was reported as Benjamin Sullano,” clearly indicating some doubt as to the real identity of the fighter.
