Joshua Clottey (28-1, 18KOs), recently interviewed by BoxingScene.com, was calling out all the big names in the welterweight division. He said if Mayweather was not going to fight Margarito, he would step in.

Sources close to the situation have indicated to BoxingScene that Clottey may get his wish, and meet WBO welterweight champion Antonio Margarito on August 12, as part of the undercard to the Rahman-Maskaev pay-per-view.

Clottey has a single loss to Carlos Baldomir by way of a disputed disqualification, in a bout where Clottey was ahead on the scorecards.
