Liakhovich-McBride Close To Done

The Belfast Telegraph is reporting that heavyweight contender Kevin McBride is closing in on a deal to face WBO heavyweight champion Sergei Liakhovich on August 5. The bout will be held in either New York or Chicago. Don King is working with both sides to quickly seal the deal.

"I had to wait until I was no longer tied to the promoters of the Tyson fight and now I have the deal with King and he has delivered a world title fight. This is what I have dreamed of since I was a boy and I believe that in the next few days everything will be signed and sealed. Lykahovich is a very good champion, he's got that good win over Brewster but I know that I can shake up the world again," McBride said.

Lykhovich wins by KO ot TKO, Mcbride is the slowest heavyweight I have ever seen, I think he ranks somewhere around Julius Long and those types of guys...

I think Sergei will knock him out and it absolutely won't be exciting. Tyson was fighting Mcbride because Kevin is ******* awful and they thought there was no way he could lose. And he quit, its not like Mcbride knocked him out. He's not world level, nowhere near it.
