Joey Gilbert (16-1, 12KOs), who made a name for himself on the "The Contender" reality series has been suspended indefinitely by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after testing positive for numerous banned substances.

Gilbert tested positive for stanozolol metabolite (a steroid), amphetamine, methamphetamine, nordiazepam, oxazepam and temazepam. Gilbert currently holds two minor WBC and WBO middleweight titles. The only loss on his record came at the hands of Peter Manfredo Jr. during a bout on the Contender.

No date has been set for a disciplinary hearing.
