The BBC reports that WBA and IBF light welterweight champion Ricky Hatton is expected to fly to the United States on Thursday, because he is scheduled to give a deposition in a New York lawsuit next Tuesday.

Souleyman M'Baye, has filed a lawsuit against the WBA, claiming that the WBA gave Hatton a title shot against Carlos Maussa for the WBA belt in November, when he should of been the fighter to receive the title shot.

Hatton has already began light training towards his American debut in May. No opponent has been set, but Hatton would prefer to land WBC welterweight champion Carlos Baldomir.
