The 2015 season premiere of
The Fight Game with Jim Lampley
airs Tuesday, March 17 live on HBO (11:00pm ET/PT).
Past editions of TFG have been critical of business practices conducted by network rival Showtime, high-powered adviser Al Haymon and boxing pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather. Curiousity surrounds tonight's segment, in light of recent events—particularly Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao finally being signed and Haymon's expanding
Premier Boxing Champions
series on various networks (seemingly all but HBO, these days).
Topics confirmed to be covered on the March 17 edition include:
• A review of the Kovalev-Pascal light heavyweight title fight from March 14 in Montreal;
• A look at the controversial ending of the dramatic Julio Cesar Chavez-Meldrick Taylor showdown 25 years ago today;
• TFG correspondent Michelle Beadle’s visit to the Wild Card gym in Hollywood for a one-on-one with welterweight superstar Manny Pacquiao;
• An all-new Gatti list and TFG pound-for-pound compilation.
The Fight Game will be available on HBO On Demand
