Slowly but surely, junior welterweight contender Ali Chebah (33-1, 26KOs) continues to pass each step, and overcome every obstacle successfully by combining talent and a sustained work pace, because he knows more than anyone else that nothing is acquired without being ready to put it all on the line.
Currently, he returns to the boxing ring on June 12th, 2010 in La Rochelle, France. A boxing evening set up by the Rochelle’s Pugilistique Club, in the room Gaston Neveur. Chebah is set to meet Dominican John Nolasco (18-4-4, 8KOs) in a ten round fight. This tough opponent, who has never lost within the limit, fought in several countries including the United States, where he defeated Colombian boxer Jesus Salvador Perez (56 professional fights).
For Chebah, currently rated third in the WBC super lightweight category, it’s a strategic fight; as it represents the ultimate stage of preparation before a WBC eliminator for which he has been designated as an official challenger on May 17th by the emblematic WBC boxing league( World Boxing Council). This is a major issue for this young champion, considered as a valuable fighter with potential.
On May 19th, the WBC, through it's President Mr. Don Jose Sulaiman, invited Chebah to the event "The Green and Gold Awards First" - to be held in Acapulco ( Mexico) on June 6th, 2010 to receive an award.
