Unbeaten middleweight Brandon Gonzales has pulled out of his Jan. 20 ShoBox fight with Caleb Truax after an injury to his hamstring, according to his trainer, Virgil Hunter.

“The fight is off.  He tore his hamstring a few days ago," Hunter told Mark Ortega of The Queensberry Rules.

Gonzales (15-0, 11 KOs) was to meet Truax (18-0-1, 10 KOs) on the undercard of the WBA junior featherweight title tilt between incumbent Rico Ramos and Guillermo Rigondeaux.

The other televised bout between junior bantamweight prospects Matt Villanueva and Mike Ruiz Jr. are still slated to go on.

The card will be promoted by Goossen Tutor and will take place at the Palms in Las Vegas.
