Former four time champion Jorge Arce (62-7-2, 47KOs) of Mexico is looking to land a shot against IBF featherweight king Evgeny Gradovich (18-0, 9KOs) of Russia. Arce retired after last December's knockout loss to Nonito Doniare, but he came back earlier this month to stop Jose Carmona in eight rounds. Gradovich was in action last Saturday night, stopping Billy Dib in their mandatory rematch.
"I have analyzed the possibilities. I know that my friend Orlando "Siri" Salido is fighting against Vasyl Lomachenko in March, and it seems that in February Jhonny Gonzalez and Abner Mares will fight, so then I would love to fight Gradovich. He is good fighter but personally I'm not impressed. He says he is a 'Russian-Mexican' - then lets see how he does a Mexican. I feel good and want to face the best at featherweight, he has faced good fighters, but he is not a warrior like me," said Arce.
