Antoine Douglas Demolishes Les Sherrington in Four

By Ryan Burton

The D, Las Vegas, Nevada - In the main event, Antoine Douglas (18-0-2) kept his perfect record intact by destroying an overmatched Les Sherrington (35-8) in four rounds.  Douglas dropped Sherrington five times in route to a TKO victory. Referee Kenny Bayless finally saw enough and stopped the fight at the 1:02 mark.

Taras Shelestyuk (13-0) kept his perfect record intact and captured the NABO welterweight title with a dominant unanimous over Aslanbek Koazev (26-2-1). The final tallies were 99-91 and 100-90 twice.

The second televised fight of the evening pitted welterweights Keenan Smith (9-0) and Benjamin Whitaker (10-2).  Smith was the busier fighter and won by the scores 79-73 and 78-74 twice.

The opening bout on the latest edition of ShoBox featured lightweights O'Shanique Foster (8-1) and Samuel Teah (7-1). The first round was uneventful as both fighters felt each other out. The bout never really picked up but Teah landed the cleaner and harder punches to give Foster his first career defeat by winning 79-73 and 77-75 twice on the scorecards.
