Anthony Yigit, Lauren, Wallin Return on Sept. 30 in Stockholm

By Per Ake Persson

EBU super lightweight champion Anthony Yigit´s (19-0-1) mandatory defence of the title against Spaniard Sandor Martin (29-1) is planned to go ahead in Stockholm September 30 in an exciting all-southpaw matchup.

In the co-feature, female super welterweight Mikaela Lauren will take on Nori Tenge, while heavyweight Otto Wallin, 18-0 and currently training in New York City with Joey Gamache, is in against Kenyan Morris Okola (10-2) in another all southpaw clash.

As always in Sweden a special permission from the Martial Arts Delegation for fights over 12 minutes are required. There shouldn´t be any problem for these fights though to get permission though

Late last week it was announced that Finnish light heavies Niklas Rasanen (14-1) and Dayron Lester (9-0) would fight August 27 in Savonlinna in a redhot domestic matchup.

However, that was apparently a misunderstanding between the agents as Lester was already then booked to fight in Miedzyzdroje (Poland) on August 19 against undefeated prospect Pawel Stepien (6-0).

Latest news in the ongoing story of Karim Guerfi´s (25-3) defence of the EBU bantamweight title against Belgian Stephane Jamoye (32-7), is that it will go ahead on October 12 in Montpelier on a Asloum Promotion. This fight has been on the cards for over a year now and it's been postponed a number of times.

I've just about given up on Wallin, seems they are never going to move him up
