By Pepe Rodriguez

On June 4th, Mexicans Andres "Jaguar" Gutierrez and Cristian "Diamante" Mijares will step in the ring to engage in a twelve round rumble at the Oasis Arena of Cancun, Quintana Roo, México, in a co-promotion of Promociones del Pueblo and Cancun Boxing, which will be broadcast across Mexico by Televisa Deportes on its weekly series "Sábados de Box".

Mijares, who was crowned WBC super flyweight world champion after defeating Katsushige Kawashima in Tokyo Japan in 2007, is an experienced fighter (35) who has faced several known rivals such as Jorge "Travieso" Arce, Vic Darchinyan, Victor "Vikingo" Terrazas and Leo "Terremoto" Santa Cruz among many others, and is considered the best fighter from Gomez Palacio, Durango, México.

On the other hand, Andres Gutiérrez, from Queretaro, Mexico, is a young undefeated fighter (22) who has won 34 battles with 24 by knockout, so it will be a interesting bout that will have all the fans totally focused on the screen.

Andres Gutierrez is a very good prospect and a future champ. He's going to retire Mijares.
