Andre Ward vs. Allan Green Unlikely For 2/2

By Mark Vester

Olympian Andre Ward (14-0, 9KOs) was ready to take a major step up in class by meeting super middleweight puncher Allan Green (25-1, 18KOs) on the undercard of an HBO televised tripleheader on February 2. Unfortunately, it's not likely to happen.

Prior to being offered the Ward bout, Green was already scheduled to face Rubin Williams in the main event of a Jan. 4 ESPN televised card. According to one source, ESPN will not let Green out of his Jan. 4 obligation. Green is banking that he can win in January, and then face Ward at a later date in the year.

it is possible he would win but they should still delay the fight.

Andre could win this, the last guy he fought wasn't all that great but Allan Green would be a good step up in talent for him. Go Andre.
