Andre Berto vs. Josesito Lopez in The Works?

By Steve Kim

Fights involving Al Haymon advised boxers are being announced now that his television deals are being revealed for 2015. Earlier this week fights such as Robert Guerrero-Keith Thurman, Adrien Broner-John Molina and Danny Garcia-Lamont Peterson were announced for NBC with more match-ups to come in the upcoming months.

Another bout that is a possibility is a pairing between Andre Berto and Josesito Lopez - who are both under contract to Haymon - that would take place sometime in mid-March.

Berto (29-3, 22KOs) a former welterweight belt-holder, had one fight in 2014, a ten-round decision over Steve Upsher Chambers. Lopez (33-6, 19KOs) has two bouts last year, a fifth round stoppage of Aaron Martinez and an eight-round decision against Rafael Cobos.

That's a nice undercard fight. Both guys are capable of stopping each other.

I hope he doesn't try to make this fight a main event on NBC or NBC Sports. This is a FNF-caliber fight and should be on an undercard.

Considering the resemes of Floyds past opponents, the winner of this should get Floyd
