AMIR KHAN laughed off Samuel Vargas calling him an old man as he readies himself for a “tear-up” on Saturday night.
The former world champion takes on the Colombian-born scrapper at the Arena Birmingham.
Vargas, 29, reckons Khan is “over the hill” and has vowed to end the Brit’s career this weekend by handing him his fifth defeat.
But 31-year-old Khan insists he is not worried about getting stick from his rival about getting knocked out.
He said: “I am glad they are talking trash because it makes it more exciting.
“I have sparred with rivals who are better than my opponent.
“I never go looking for a KO or big bombs but if I see an opening I will take it.
“I know I have everything it takes to win this fight.
“I am a veteran but I cannot wait to get in the ring and get back to business.
“I hope he comes looking for the knockout because it makes the fight, they know I have the biggest balls in the division because I love getting caught up in a tear-up.”
Vargas is the massive underdog heading into the weekend’s clash but has arrived in the UK full of confidence.
He said: “There is no doubt my mind, I will be victorious on Saturday night. I’ll win.
“I think he is an old man, I think he is over the hill, I think he has been damaged a lot. If I touch him, he is going to get hurt.”
