Alexander Says Khan Talks Continue For December 7

By Francisco Salazar

Welterweight world title holder Devon Alexander (25-1, 14KOs) is more than likely to return to the ring on December 7th, Alexander told on Friday afternoon.

One opponent that Alexander could fight is welterweight contender Amir Khan (28-3, 19KOs).

One city that was being mentioned at the Paul Malignaggi-Adrien Broner press conference in Brooklyn was Dubai, in the Middle East.

“I don’t know about a place, but Khan is who they’ve been talking about me fighting,” said Alexander.

The fighter from St. Louis, MO, is coming off a seventh round stoppage victory over Lee Purdy in his last bout on May 18th. In the middle of the bout, Alexander suffered a broken left hand in the fight.

A return on December 7th will allow Alexander to properly recuperate from the injury and give him time to train for a Khan bout.

Khan is coming off a hard-fought 12 round unanimous decision victory over Julio Diaz in April 27th.

Both boxers fight under the Golden Boy Promotions banner.

Alexander quit against Bradley !!! Plus Alexander is so boring to watch as a fighter, you would have to pay me money to watch him fight. At least with Khan there is excitement, either he wins or gets his head…

[QUOTE=Arsene Knows;13490806]Here's a longer interview with him... This guy sounds stupid. "Every time Khan steps up, he loses". Devon, your best win is Maidana - a guy who Khan beat before you. You lost…

[QUOTE=mattvito;13491038]How can you make that comparison when Devon shut out Maidana and Khan barely got out alive? he does in every fight. Devon gets way too much hatred while other guys, like Khan, get passes while nearly getting stopped in…
