‘’It’s been going really well,’’ said Ahlin, who faces the Mexican ‘Cobra’ Alvaro Gaona (14-4, 9 KOs) on March 14. ‘’We’ve already sparred sixteen rounds and plan on stepping it up to ten rounds in the last two sessions before I return to Sweden.
‘’Tim has definitely improved since we fought. He has been doing some great work with his trainer Ulf Johansen, and that shows in the ring. His style has helped me to prepare for my fight with Gaona. I’m ready to claim another victory!’’
‘’The sparring has been great,’’ said Lihaug, who will take on an as yet unnamed opponent. ‘’It’s a win-win situation. Oscar is a quality fighter and we are both learning a lot. It’s important to get good sparring before a fight. It’s all about testing yourself, improving and preparing for war.’’
Ahlin triumphed when the Sauerland stable-mates met in April 2013. Two years later, both men will share the stage when the Nordic Fight Night returns to Copenhagen on March 14. All the action will be shown live on Viasat channels across Scandinavia – TV10 in Sweden, Viasat 4 in Norway and TV3, TV3+ & TV3 Sports channels in Denmark. Tickets are available via billetlugen.dk.
