Cruiserweight contender Mateusz Masternak (36-4, 26 KOs) will fight on Polish soil for the first time in four and a half years. Masternak's return takes place on April 2 during the next edition of Polsat Boxing Night in Krakow. The opponent will be strong puncher Eric Fields (24-3, 16 KOs).
Masternak returns from a very close twelve round decision loss to Tony Bellew last December. This will be the first fight for Fields since April 2014, when he was kncocked out by Yunier Dorticos.
As previously reported, the main event will feature former two-division world champion Tomasz Adamek (50-4, 30 KOs), who takes on durable fighter Eric Molina (24-3, 18 KOs).
Eight months ago Molina unsuccessfully tried to claim the throne of WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder. Molina had Wilder in trouble early in the fight, but the champion recovered and knocked Molina out in the ninth round.
The fight will be a big step up for Adamek when compared to his last opponent. In 2014, Adamek lost back to back decision to Czar Glazkov and countryman Artur Szpilka. He came back last September in Lodz and knocked out Przemyslaw Saleta in five rounds.
Adamek, a two division world champion, want to gain one final title shot.
Prior to losing to Wilder, Molina had built a five fight win streak since suffering a first round knockout loss to Chris Arreola in 2012. Molina has already picked up a stay busy win last October with a sixth round TKO of Rodricka Ray in Texas.
