According to manager Frank Espinoza, a fight between his man, Antonio Orozco and respected veteran Humberto Soto has been consummated for October 3rd at the StubHub Center in Carson, California, as part of the HBO broadcast that will feature Lucas Matthysse-Victor Postol for the vacant WBC 140-pound title.

"Yes, it's a done deal, we finalized it, we've made all the arrangements and we're looking forward to a big fight on October 3rd," Espinoza confirmed to BoxingScene.com.

Orozco, who has a record of 22-0(15 KO's), is coming off a solid victory over Emanuel Taylor on May 16th. Soto, who has mark of 65-8-2(35 KO's) has been beset by bad luck recently as he's had two other HBO appearances in 2015 against Frankie Gomez and then Ray Beltran scratched due to various reasons.

For the 27-year old Orozco, who originally hails from Garden City, Kansas, this represents a significant step up in class.

"Antonio's at the stage in his career where he wants to fight these guys, where he's stepping up to the challenge,"said Espinoza. "He wants to fight the Soto's, Mauricio Herrera, Jose Benavides, those guys. He's at that level. Now it's his time. So we're looking for good things for Antonio on October 3rd."
