Moscow, Russia - Former WBO junior welterweight champion Ruslan Provodnikov had little to no trouble in overwhelming 40-year-old Mexican veteran Jose Luis Castillo, who previously held the WBC title at 135-pounds and was once considered to be one of the most feared boxers in the sport. The fight took place at 147-pounds.

Provodnikov went right after Castillo from the opening bell and veteran stood his ground to exchange. In the past, exchanging punches with Castillo was a very dangerous option to choose, but Provodnikov was able to walk through his shots to land many of his own.

Finally Castillo has breaking down in the fifth and went down from a barrage of hard shots. He made it up and went right back down as he made some type of motion to the referee, who stepped in to save him from further punishment.
