British star Amir Khan is targeting a ring return in October or November. He won't get a lucrative fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr., who plans to return on September 13 - a date which Khan is unable to take part in due to a scheduling conflict.

One name Khan is not going to consider for a fall opponent is domestic rival Kell Brook - unless Brook reaches a deal to fight undefeated IBF welterweight champion Shawn Porter - and captures Porter's title. Brook is the mandatory challenger and his promoter, Eddie Hearn, is currently speaking with Golden Boy regarding the bout.

"Kell Brook is not one I will be looking at..He doesn't deserve it - unless he fights Porter and beats Porter. If he had the IBF title, then maybe. He doesn't bring anything to the table without that. I just think it is wrong that he has made such a big name for himself in the UK fighting nobodies and trying to set up a big fight with me because he knows it will make him the biggest money of his career," Khan told The Mirror.

"He knows if he fights me, he makes a lot of money, and he doesn't deserve the money. Look at the sacrifices I've made, fighting the likes of Marcos Maidana, Luis Collazo and taking beatings, whereas he is taking easy fights and still getting put in a position to fight me for big money when I don't think he deserves it."
