AVI Resort & Casino, Laughlin, Nevada - Chris Avalos (23-2) continued his winning ways, dominating Rolly Lunas (34-9) over three rounds. Avalos dished punishment from the opening bell. He landed heavy shots with both hands but Lunas gamely fought on until Avalos landed a one two combination that sent Lunas crashing to the canvas. He rose to his feet but was clearly out on his feet and referee Kenny Bayless waived off the fight.

Gabino Saenz (12-0) started off fast out boxing his opponent Edwin Solis (5-3-2) from the opening bell. Solis tried to keep the fight on the inside but Saenz used his jab and foot movement to keep Solis off him the first two rounds. Solis' pressure and rough house tactics started to work in the third round. He had successfully lured Saenz into a fire fight that had the fans on their feet most of the bout. Both men ran out of gas in the final round and the spilt draw seemed appropriate. The final scores were 58-56 for Saenz, 58-56 for Solis and 57-57.

Jose  Felix Jr (26-0)  had another impressive performance with his victory over Santos Benavides (23-5). Felix's advantage in power was evident early on. Even when he landed punches on Benavides gloves he hurt him and pushed him back. Felix dropped Benavides in the third round. The Nicaraguan rose to his feet but referee Russell Mora stopped the fight after Felix threw a barrage of punches. The stoppage may have been a tad bit early but Felix appeared on his way to a stoppage victory either way. The time of the stoppage was 1:50 in the third round.

Super featherweight prospect Saul Rodriguez improved his record to 11-0 with his victory over Cesar Valenzuela (4-3). The 20-year-Los Rodriguez was the aggressor of most of the fight and sent Valenzuela down with a hard right hand in the third round. Valenzuela rise to his feet but referee Russell Mora deemed that he was unable to continue. 

Lightweight prospect Luis Bello (5-1) suffered his first professional loss against Henry Krael of Las Vegas.  Bello started off strong but Marengo's speed advantage proved to be the difference. The final scores were 58-56 on all three cards.

Jose Benavides Jr. (18-0) returned to the ring for the first time in over a year and made quick work of Abraham Osuna (16-5-1).  The action started out slow as both fighters felt each other out. Benavides landed a quick combination just before the 10 second bell sounded to end the first round. Osuna rose to his feet but wasn't able to fully recover. Benavides sent him to the canvas again mere seconds into the second round. Osuna got up again but was quickly knocked down again, prompting referee Kenny Bayless to stop the fight. The time of the stoppage was 1:03 in the second round. 

In the evening's opening bout, Khurshid Abdullaev (7-1) and Yosmani Abregu (4-8) battled to a draw in their junior middleweight fight. Both fighters had points deducted in the foul marred fight. The final scores were 56-55 for Abregu, 57-55 for Abdullaev and 56-56.
