Timothy Bradley is getting ready to tangle with another future hall of fame fighter as he will battle Juan Manuel Marquez on October 12th in Las Vegas, NV at the MGM Grand. Bradley has built up quite the resume so far in his undefeated professional career and a win over Marquez will be another great feather to add to his cap.

Even though he’s facing some of the best fighters in the sport, Bradley would still love to challenge the fighter that’s considered number one and that’s pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather.

Bradley is never one to look ahead but when asked if he’d fight Mayweather should he be victorious, Bradley gave a resounding “yes”. Not only would be willing and ready but he think he’s the only one who would actually pose problems for Floyd.

“If that fight ever materializes, heck yeah, I would love a shot at Mayweather. I think I'm the only guy in boxing that's close to the weight class that can definitely give him a challenge. I feel I have the speed, I feel I have the movement and I think I have everything it takes to get in there and give Mayweather some problems” Bradley would tell ESNews and other members of the media.

Two undefeated champions in the same division squaring off is a recipe for a big fight but given the promotional circumstances that currently surround the sport, a Mayweather-Bradley fight would be very difficult to make.

While Mayweather is his own boss, he has a working relationship with Golden Boy Promotions who are the arch nemesis of Bradley’s current promoter Top Rank. It also doesn’t help that Mayweather and Top Rank founder Bob Arum aren’t exactly eager to do business together either.

Despite the possibilities of the fight happening being slim to none at the moment, Bradley is confident he’d give Mayweather a run for his money. The Welterweight division is one of the deepest divisions in boxing right now but Bradley believes he’s the only one that has a real shot at dethroning the undefeated Mayweather.

“Mayweather is a wizard in the game. He got a long reach. He's not very tall but he's very quick, very elusive in the ring. He knows every in and out of the ring. So I mean it’s going to be tough for whoever gets in the ring with this guy but I feel I'm the guy right now in this era that can probably get to him. The only guy. The only guy in the weight class” declared Bradley.
