Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan - Former WBC flytweight champion Toshiyuki Igarashi (18-2-1, 11KOs) stopped veteran Omar Soto (23-11-2) in the ninth round of action. Igarashi was returning for the first time since his April decision loss, where he lost his WBC championship, by way of a close twelve round majority decision to countryman Akira Yaegashi.

Former WBA super bantamweight champion Akifumi Shimoda (28-3-2, 12KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Alejandro Hernandez (25-10-2). The scores were 99-91, 98-93 and 97-94. Shimoda won his sixth fight in a row since suffering a shocking one punch knockout loss to Rico Ramos in July 2011.
